Testimonials

The heart behind Keep it Lit goes beyond candles—it's about healing, hope, and resilience. Through our advocacy for women impacted by domestic violence, we've had the privilege of walking alongside survivors on their journeys toward light and freedom.

Here’s my testimony:

Here’s my testimony. Mental illness is a stigma to those that don’t understand it. There are different types of Mental disorders regardless of the type, you have nothing to be ashamed of. This life we have is full of twists and turns, ups and downs, victories and defeats. There are also hormonal changes we go through as woman as we get older. You, like myself may have both contributing factors. I am a survivor of domestic violence from many years ago. Sometimes we need to seek treatment through Therapy or get assistance with balancing our hormones either way we need to find positive ways to cope. There is no shame in reaching out for help! Chances are someone else is going through something similar! None of us are perfect so don’t let pride or shame stand in your way. I’m happy to report that because I reached out and I’m very happy I did now I look forward to life everyday. The light on these candles are a symbol of hope you are not alone.  I pray it will happen for you too.

Reminder

Please pay attention to those around you.
Some people show signs of depression but don’t speak up—and because of that, they go unnoticed and begin to fade away... eventually becoming forever silent and unheard.

Let’s look out for one another and stand together against depression.
So many are suffering in silence.
Check in with that one person—your call could be exactly what they need.
